نشعر ببالغ الحزن لمعرفتنا بخبر وفاة أحمد الحلبي. كان أحمد أحد سفراء Google في الجامعات خلال الفترة من 2010 وحتى 2011، حيث كان البرنامج قد بدأ للتو في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا. وقد كان أحمد، بعاطفته وحماسته، أحد أكثر سفراء Google النشطين في الجامعات، وقد استضاف العديد من الأحداث داخل الجامعة في الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة.
وقد وصفه زميل له في سفراء Google في الجامعات بعمله الجاد ووده البالغ. وقد كان أحد الأحداث التي عمل عليها الجديرة بالذكر هو مساعدة زملائه من الطلاب في التعرف على فرص التوظيف لدى Google. وقد كان متميزًا بين زملائه، ووصفه فريق التوعية لدى Google بأنه "رائع ببساطة" - يبذل جهدًا إضافيًا لدعم برنامج سفراء Google في الجامعات أثناء فترة شغله الوظيفة وبعدها. وسنكون ممتنين إلى الأبد لعمله الجاد واهتمامه بالبرنامج.
وقد شعرنا ببالغ الحزن بسماع خبر وفاته، وإننا نسأل الجميع تذكره في صلاته. ونسأل الله أن يرحمه وأن يرزق عائلته الصبر والثبات في هذه الأوقات العصيبة.

It brings us tremendous sadness to learn the news of Ahmed El Halaby’s passing. Ahmed was a Google Student Ambassador during 2010-2011, as the program was just starting in MENA. Passionate and enthusiastic, Ahmed was one of the most active GSAs, hosting many events on campus at the American University in Cairo.
His fellow GSAs described him as hard working and very friendly. One of his more notable events was to help his fellow students learn about Career Opportunities at Google. He was distinguished among his peers, and the Google Outreach team described him as “simply awesome” - going the extra mile to support the GSA program both during his tenure and after. We will be forever grateful for his hard work and interest in the program.
We are deeply saddened by the news of his passing, we ask everyone to remember him in your prayers. May God rest his soul in peace and we wish his family solace and strength during this difficult time.
